Second AMS700 Penile Prosthesis implantation in Sub-Sahara

Following the successful first implantation at Clinique Médicale Cœur Sacré in Abidjan on 20 August 2026, a second implantation of Boston Scientific’s AMS 700™ inflatable penile prosthesis was performed on 17 September 2026 at CHU de Cocody. The procedure was performed by Professor Fofana and his team and proctored by Professor Abdoullah Abachi from Algeria.
This collaboration brought together regional expertise and the surgical team at CHU de Cocody, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing penile prosthesis surgery and expanding patients’ access to specialised urological care.
